Tauhara staff take pride in offering healthy, nutritious meals that are prepared with love.
Tauhara's kitchen has a long history of offering fresh, often organic and vegetarian cuisine, with much of the fruit and vegetables grown on site in the Centre's own organic gardens.
We are always happy to provide a range of menu options to suit you and your group. A full daily menu can be provided, including breakfast, lunch, dinner and morning and afternoon tea. Other options, including self catering, can be discussed with the Centre manager. Meals are generally served buffet style.
Gluten free, vegetarian, vegan, wheat-free and other diet restrictions are catered for if the request is made in advance. There is a small surcharge for gluten free and vegan diets, to allow for alternative ingredients.
Many of the delicious dishes that you will enjoy during your visit have been published in the Centre's much-reprinted recipe book, From Tauhara's kitchen. The book includes wholesome vegetarian recipes from New Zealand, compiled by Catherine Grace who is a Trustee, during her years as Kitchen Co-ordinator. Copies are available from the office for $30 while you are visiting the Centre or $35 including postage and packing by mail order.
